poop in the sink
Today Bekah REFUSED to take her nap. Curtis and I left on a little date and my Mom and sisters were at the house with Bek. She was in her room and started calling out again (this was like attempt number 3,000 to get the child to sleep). My Mom went in and she was diaperless and told my Mom she pooped. Yikes! She had put it in her play kitchen sink. Oh. My. Word. Curtis got out of her later that she was mad at Mimi for making her lay down for a nap (she was EXHAUSTED and totally needed it), so she put her poop in the sink. Wow. My child.

Family time
It has been so lovely and relaxing to be home with my family for a few weeks without any added responsibilities! A bit unreal, actually. Here are a few pictures of us enjoying Thanksgiving...
My wonderful Grandparents...
Loving Mimi Stump...caught Auntie Joan off guard. :)
With cousins Jake and Ty....they love to carry her around!

Oregon Children's Museum
Bekah loved shopping, being the checker at the "grocery store", water play, and ESPECIALLY the "vet". She walked the stuffed dog, was the receptionist, even climbed into a doggy crate herself. She was in heaven. :)

recent Bekah quotes
"So much sorry."
Bekah: "Time out."
Curtis: "Who's in time out?"
Bekah: "Jane."
"Think about it."
Bekah: "I want a library card."
me (Jane): "Are you going to check out books?"
Bekah: "Ya, 600."
Bekah: "Jane!"
me: "What's my name?"
Bekah: "Goofy...Minnie...Mickey Mouse...Dopey...Sleepy..."
Matt: "Bek, where are you moving?"
Bekah: "California."
Matt: "You live in California now. Where are you moving?"
Bekah: "Kansas City."
Matt: "What are you gonna do there?"
Bekah: "Mmm...ride a horse."
Matt: "Are you going to meet a cowboy?"
Bekah: "Ya."
Matt: "How do you feel about that Brayden (his 2.5 year old)?"
Brayden sticks out his tongue and blows.
Me: I'm sorry you wet through your diaper honey!
Bekah: I forgive you, Mommy.

packing up
We have lived in Livermore, CA for over 6 years and it has truly become home. And, as life goes, we are now relocating. To Missouri. Yup. In January. Brrr.
We are currently packing up our house (that we LOVE and HATE to leave). We'll be moving in with Curtis' Mom and step dad for the first 3 weeks of November while we each finish up our jobs here and say good bye. Then we're heading up to Oregon for Thanksgiving and most of December. We're super excited about this mini-vacation and having time to rest and process this move. Then we'll be back to Livermore for a week or two before we head out to the mid-west.
It looks like we'll be living in a duplex within a mile of the campus where Curtis will be finishing his M-Div. We're giving one of our cars away so that we can take just one, have just one car to insure. We're storing a bunch of stuff in our new outdoor shed at Curtis' Mom's house...
Pray for us as we make this transition. We are leaving behind friends who have become family.

Bekah's 2nd birthday and early autumn
Bekah loves M&M's. Apparently the only thing she loves more is, and i quote, "rice". She is so not my daughter at times.
We're kinda potty training...in other words, it's a bit hit and miss these days...
With best buddy Bella Tennyson at church.
A much needed gettaway to Angels Camp-such a fun, restful couple of days!
So much hair!!
Today Bek, doggie and I went to a little hay maze and mini pumpkin patch. I spent like $3.50 on a little pumkin, and then proceeded to run over it with my car as I backed out of the lot. Lovely. It was HOT, so afterwards, we played in the fountain downtown...
Do you think she liked it?

Disneyland and San Francisco
We had a great time with my family at Disneyland. We wish we could see them every week, but the times we do have are always sweet. Bekah wasn't so sure about the rides at Disneyland, but she did LOVE toon town.
We got back today from a 2 night stay in San Francisco, just the 3 of us. We had such a good time away. We walked until our legs almost fell off (we ALL fell asleep by 7:30pm last night!) and had a great time being together. We also had a scare when Bekah's beloved doggie was lost somewhere along our LOOOOONG walk and a homeless gentleman invited himself along to try and find it....he was very kind...but the good news is we found doggie!! Thankfully.

snippets
Any other tired Mom's out there? This child is so loved, but I am so tired! She's such a handful...Just a few pictures.
Her most beloved doggy. Today she slept for 2.5 hours! Hallelujah. I thought finger painting would be fun. She got mad when I tried to show her how. She thought I was stealing her pudding. :)
