Today we left the house while Curtis was still asleep (a rarity around here). I asked Bekah to write him a note saying we were leaving. She eagerly scribbled out her "note" and then wrote her name (she's learning how right now). Then, I had her dictate what she "wrote" and I wrote it down. It's so funny. Here is what she "wrote". And I quote...
"Daddy,
We're leaving soon. But we're home right now. Daddy, I, Bekah Jane Lillie, I love you and when we go I'll miss you. Than when Mommy does my hair, I won't like it. So, I like my stuff, but I might know that you are asleep, Curtis. Rebekah. Can you please wake up? Oh, I know that you're asleep cause Mommy told me. She told me to be quiet, so I'm being quiet. So, van (than), the night is gonna be nighttime. I'm writing you a note so you know we'll be gone. Rebekah Jane Lillie and Jane Rebecca...Daddy, I really love you. I read my Bible and everyfing..." (I had to cut her off as my hand was getting tired).
SUCH a talker. She cracks me up. We've talked a lot together about Jesus today and what Easter means. Bek bought a doll at a garage sale with her own money. When she told me she loves her doll, we got to talk about how Jesus bought us with his own blood and that's part of the reason He loves us so much. She isn't currently interested in asking Jesus to live in her heart and be her Lord, but we're talking. And praying. If you are a blog reader of ours, I invite you to pray with us, that Jesus would win the hearts of Bekah and Cate.
