To our Beks, Boookers, Boook-a-loook, Bekah Tooter Lillie, Reboooks, Bekah~
We love you so much it hurts. I can't believe how big you are getting. You are smart and funny and a lot of fun to be with. You are constantly talking and singing and making up new words to share with us. You love to rhyme. You make your "aminals" have conversations, you have fake conversations on the phone. You love to say that things are "siwwy" (silly) and are so bright that you come up with a lot of things that would be "siwwy".
Some of my favorite things you say are: Sure! (sh-oo-wer), Mom, what's wrong wif yourself? (all your "th" sounds are an "f" and it can be so cute!). You always say, "Dad, I want to show you somefing really funny!". You have quite a flair for the dramatic and tell me things like, "Mom, I fink I have an eye infection.", and "My feet are about to break!!".
Along with this dramatic spirit comes a very sensitive heart. You told us not long ago, all by yourself, that you wanted to give all your toys away to the kids in Joplin who lost theirs in the "tomato" (tornado). Daddy had been there to help, and you really felt bad for those kids. We were so proud of your heart. Whenever you see change on the ground, you exclaim, "Offering!". You love to take your offering to church.
You are a glass half-full type of gal-well, really just a glass overflowing type. :) Just today you were looking out the window at the street of the drive thru at Taco Bell and you told Daddy that it was "beautiful". You often see things, gasp and say in a breathless voice, "it's BEAUtiful!". You are just like your Dad in that way and I love it.
I'm really enjoying this season of not having to work at all during the day and just getting to be with you. You love to read books, do puzzles, color, look at your Highlights magazines, and play with your dollhouse. You got "Bekah scissors" for your birthday and are quite excited about that. Your favorite movie right now is Nanny McPhee returns. You "LOVE" the part when the pigs do synchronized swimming in the water and the bird burps so loud it harvests the wheat.
You are a joy to be with Bekah Jane. We love you so very much and thank Jesus for giving you to us. Our prayer is that you would one day give your heart and life to Him, and live a FULL life connected to our Lord, thankful for all he has done and will do. Because, like we talk about, He is the only one who can fill your heart up to overflowing.
Love you, our Boookers.
Mom and Dad
(ps-our camera is broken-but you were awfully sweet today in your purple tutu.)
