re-purposed picture frame

I loved this idea I found on-line!  How cute is this bulletin board for Bekah's room??  I painted a white frame black, cut corkboard I had in a box to the right size, covered it with fabric I had on hand, and pinned on this cute flower trim.  So fun! 

play-doh creations

Bekah was making "candy" today with her play doh.  She declared it "awful".  She meant "awesome".  She has trouble with that word. :) 

Today she told me that she was sad in her heart for me about something.  Where did she get that phrase? 

She also assured Mimi that Jesus is always with her when she has scary dreams.  Oh, this child!  So delightful. 

She even mentioned her uncle Gary while listing off extended family members today.  That makes my heart happy.

Bekah's first basketball hoop

Rebekah wanted to be just like her cousins Jake and Ty when she saw video of them playing basketball.  We decided to invest in a little tykes hoop and a mini basketball.  She was so excited!  When we put her ball in the cart at Target, she said, "I love it, I love it Mommy!  I love it!".  She just exudes joy-makes it hard not to buy her the whole store. :)  When we told her she could play with it after her nap, she told us she'd be "so happy". 
At one point we must have said something funny, because she said, "Oh, you guys are so silly!".

reading books-she loves Maggie and the Monster, Dr. Seusses I am not getting up today, all the Frances books
making up songs
adding a "K" or "SK" sound to the end of her words (i.e. Hey, MomSK...ya, I don't know)
doing her puzzles-we have a cool floor puzzle that is a train for the alphabet and a train for numbers. 
watching Dora or Diego
playdoh-we have a play doh accessory that lets her make ice cream sundaes, etc and she love doing that.  And loves carrying them around the house and making a mess...I had to put a stop to that!
